Who are we?

Did you know that more than 90% of aviation students that begin their flight training in Puerto Rico do not follow through? This is mainly because students are not given adequate resources for them to achieve success.

At The Pilot Studio, we understand that not all students learn the same way. That’s why we offer tailored flight instruction with industry leading teaching techniques in order for you to achieve your final aviation goal; whether this be a weekend traveler to St. Thomas for Pancakes at Bumpa’s or an Airline Pilot.

Intrested in a Private Pilot Certificate?

Your First Step to a world class career:
The Private Pilot Certificate is the first step to obtain the Commercial Pilot License. Upon completion of this step, the doors will open to a world of adventure and new knowledge. The privileges of the Private Pilot Certificate will allow you to make visual(VFR) flights with family or friends. This Certificate has restrictions because it is just the beginning of the career. However, it is a great step where you get the basic knowledge and where you have the wonderful experience of flying alone for the first time.

The Pilot Studio will guide you in the beginning of this extraordinary world of aviation.

Your Second Step: Instrument Rating (IRA / IFR)

Picture
Instrument flight training is made up of a structure of methods and techniques that allow the pilot to fly the aircraft with reference to the instruments. This is a very important step as it potentially increases safety conditions in flight. The skills acquired with this rating enable pilots to fly safely through the clouds without external visual references. Pilots also learn how to make approaches and landings in difficult weather conditions and develop the skills to use the aircraft's instruments, GPS and other navigation aids to guide it through the clouds and perform successful approach and landing maneuvers.

Minimum requirements:
  • Possess a Private Pilot license.
  • Have at least a third class medical certificate.
  • Be able to read, write and speak in English.
  • Pass an FAA written exam.
  • Comply with the minimum requirements of flight hours for the rating.
  • Pass an oral and flight exams.
** International students require an M-1 student visa and TSA.

Ready for Hire: Commercial Pilot (SEL)

Upon completing the aeronautical requirements and obtaining the Commercial Pilot Certificate, graduates can be hired and begin to be paid for their services as pilots and begin to receive the return on investment. They can also become flight instructors, fly for private corporations, charter companies, cargo transportation companies, etc. They can also add a rating for one or more engines to their certificate, depending on the expectations of each pilot. We recommend obtaining both qualifications to have a greater opportunity in the workplace.

Regardless of the option chosen, TPS will provide you with the knowledge and skills to complete your Commercial Pilot flight training. With this certificate the graduate will be ready to join the world of professional pilots.
